August 29--- Avoiding
Energy Drains:Whether
your children are toddlers or teens (or any age in
between), come get a few new “tools in your toolbox”
regarding how to approach parenting predicaments such as
whining, backtalk, power struggles, defiance, follow
through, and other hot topics parents face each day that
drain the energy out of parenting and family life.
October 3---Raising a Good Kid First:
The world
suggests your first priority is to raise an athlete, a
scholar, a musician, or whatever else the culture
prescribes at the moment. Look at ways to “raise a good
kid first” that is steeped in character and has the
strong values that are essential To true success in all
areas of life.
November 7---
Raising an
Un-Entitled Child in an Entitled World:This class will help equip parents to develop the
skills necessary to ward off an entitlement attitude and
to raise responsible, grateful, respectful children.
Registration required for each class. You may
attend individual classes and need not attend all classes
in series unless indicated otherwise.

8---A Taste of Love
and Logic:A
look at the Love and Logic Parenting philosophy and some
basic tools to try out at home, ways to find out more
about Love and Logic parenting, and fun stories of Love
and Logic success.
October
20--- Basics of Financial
Peace:Based
off of the principles of nationally known radio talk show
host and author Dave Ramsey, this class is about learning
the basics of getting out of debt, budgeting, and saving
for the future. The class will offer practical ideas
that can be implemented immediately as well as provide
information of how to build on your knowledge with other
resources and classes. Note: This clas is not
taught by Laura Murphy but instead taught by Patrick
Murphy who is a Financial Peace University
faciliator.

the atmosphere becomes for both parents and kids. This

attend individual classes and need not attend all classes
in series unless indicated otherwise.

“Becoming a Love and Logic Parent”
From
the nationally know parenting philosophy of “Love and
Logic” where parents learn how to set enforceable
limits, give choices within those limits, and consequences
with empathy. For parents of all ages and stages.
Each week participants will build on the knowledge
and experience of the week before while finding their
parenting confidences grow!
This
class builds on the previous week and it is suggested to
attend all 5 week in this series.

October 19--Putting the Fun Back into Parenting:
Does parenting leave you feeling drained rather than
fulfilled? Take a look at some simple, practical steps you
can take in your day to revive yourself, your parenting
style, and add to your family!
October 26--Helping Your Child Succeed in School:
A class offering a wealth of ideas about how to help
your children take responsibility for their own work, earn
good grades, and to be responsible while helping parents
eliminate nagging, bribing, arguing, and doing homework
for their kids.
November 2--Raising Responsible Kids:
This class will provide guidance on how to design an
allowance and chores program that is just right for your
household no matter the ages of the kids or the amount of
family income. We’ll offer practical ideas in a fun,
easy to learn style that will help you raise responsible
children.
November
9--Parenting Grateful Children:
The
focus on this class will be on how parents can implement
techniques into their parenting skills to ward off
entitlement and raise responsible, grateful, respectful
children that think of others before themselves in a
society entrenched in entitlement
